Under the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan” a dirty spot at Farwai, Haryana was identified as “Cleanliness Target Unit” (CTU) [Coordinates : Lat 29.6101020 Long 75.1124920]. This spot posed a severe health and hygiene risk apart from polluting environment.

Raheja Hospital, Mahim, Mumbai organised in the Institute premises as a part of preventive health check-ups for sanitation workers and their dependents. About 100 staff members along with the sanitation workers and their dependents.

As a part of the implementation of the Swachhata Hi Seva, nukkad natak was performed by NSS student of Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Matunga at Five Gardens, Matunga to educate and entertain along with promoting sanitation and cleanliness. About 60 people participated in the event.

As part of the implementation of Swachhata Hi Seva 2026, ICAR-CIRCOT undertook various cleanliness and awareness activities on 22 September 2026.

A cleanliness drive was conducted at Sri Saharsa Apartments, near Hossana Ministers Gorantla Church, Guntur, focusing on maintaining cleanliness in the neighbourhood. A total of 4 participants took part in the activity.

A cleanliness drive was also conducted at the Public Toilets at Five Gardens, Wadala, Mumbai, with the participation of 8 persons, promoting cleanliness and hygiene in public facilities.

In addition, the use of digital documents and minimum printing was promoted to reduce paper consumption. Digital banners were also used during the Hindi Pakhwada competitions, supporting eco-friendly and sustainable practices.

Activity : Cleanliness drives at Bus Stands. Carry your own bag awareness.

As a part of the implementation of the Swachhata Hi Seva, cleanliness drive conducted near Surat Bus Stand. Carry your own bag awareness programme conducted at Matunga, Mumbai, where cotton cloth bags prepared by ICAR-CIRCOT were distributed in local market.

As a part of the implementation of the Swachhata Hi Seva, creation of Awareness about benefits of cleanliness by involving NGO carried out at GSB Mandal Ganapati, Wadala, Mumbai and Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Matunga, Mumbai.

Activity : Transformation of Cleanliness Target Units. Cleaning Offices

Under the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan” a dirty spot at Farwai, Haryana was identified as “Cleanliness Target Unit” (CTU) [Coordinates : Lat 29.6101020 Long 75.1124920]. This spot posed a severe health and hygiene risk apart from polluting environment.

Under the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan” a dirty garbage spot measuring identified as “Cleanliness Target Unit” (CTU) at Taikalwadi Marg, Near Mahalaxmi Sindhi Society, Matunga West, Mumbai of Maharashtra State. As a part of the implementation of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, cleanliness drive conducted Regional Unit Sirsa of ICAR-CIRCOT.

Activity : Hosting of Swachhata Class / Swachhata Ki Pathshaala — Educational sessions and workshops at schools to teach students about cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene practices. Slogan competitions.

As a part of the implementation of the Swachhata Hi Seva, swachhata class about cleanliness, sanitation and various hygiene practices conducted in SIWS School at Wadala, Mumbai, Mandal Parishad Primary Elementary School, Gorantla, Guntur and Municipal Primary School, Number 1, Ghod Dod Road, Surat. Students were explain about good hygiene practices. Good interaction with students carried out and some new novel  ideas about cleanliness in the school and surroundings. 

Conducted slogan writing competition about Swachhata in school and surroundings. About 10 students participated.

Activity : Display of Banner at Prominent Places, Taking Swachhata Pledge and Installation of Selfie Points.

As a part of the implementation of the Swachhata Hi Seva, banners were displayed   at the prominent places of ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai.  The pledge taking ceremony was organized in the Jubilee Hall with all staff members taking the swachhata pledge. Also the pledge taking ceremony was organized at GTC -Nagpur and all the Regional Units of ICAR-CIRCOT.
