Promoting Soil Health Management and Balanced Fertilizer Use in the MGMG adopted villages May 08, 2026

An awareness programme on Soil Health Management and Balanced Fertilizer Use was organized by ICAR-CIRCOT on 8th May 2026 at its MGMG-adopted village Kondhali, Katol (Nagpur). The programme emphasized improving soil health through effective crop residue management. Farmers were sensitized to value addition from cotton by-products using practical technologies such as pellet making, briquetting, biochar production, and composting, highlighting their potential for additional income generation, waste minimization, and improved soil and environmental health. A total of 30 farmers including four women participated in the programme.
