Promoting Soil Health Management and Balanced Fertilizer Use in the MGMG adopted villages April 27, 2026

Farmers’ awareness programme was organized by ICAR-CIRCOT on 27th April 2026 at its MGMG adopted village Ghorad, Kalmeshwar (Nagpur) to promote Soil Health Management and Balanced Fertilizer Use. The programme focused on the importance of soil testing as a scientific basis for fertilizer application to improve nutrient efficiency and reduce unnecessary input costs. Special emphasis was placed on the use of organic inputs such as vermicompost, compost, biofertilizers, green manuring crops, Beejamrut, and Jeevamrut for improving soil organic carbon. The programme was attended by 25 farmers (22 male and 3 female).
