ICAR-Central Institute of Research on Cotton Technology, Mumbai organized a three-day training programme on ‘Electrospinning for Nanofibre Production’ during February 22-24, 2023. This self-financed training programme was attended by six participants comprising faculties, research scholars and Scientists from various academic and ICAR institutions across the country. In addition to Maharashtra, trainees from Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh attended this programme. The training course covered the basics and advances in Electrospinning technology, and their applications in cotton textiles, agriculture and technical textiles. Dr. S. K. Shukla, Director, ICAR-CIRCOT interacted with the participants during the course of this training.
Dr. Sujata Saxena, Principal Scientist & Head, CBPD, presided over the valedictory function and welcomed the gathering, and interacted with the trainees for their comments and feedback. Dr. GTV Prabu, Scientist and Training Coordinator briefed the training programme and encouraged the participants for future collaboration. This was followed by certificate distribution to all the participants.
