ICAR-CIRCOT Organized a Training on ‘Composite Materials and its Application’

ICAR-CIRCOT organized a three-day training programme on ‘Composite Materials and its Applications’ during March 6 to 8, 2024. The programme, being self-financed, attracted 10 participants, including faculties, research scholars and industry professionals from various parts of India. The training course encompassed fundamental and advanced aspects of fiber-reinforced composite production, featuring invited lectures by expert speakers. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to visit the Indian Rubber Manufacturers Research Association (IRMRA) in Thane, Mumbai, to gain insights into rubber composite production and characterization techniques.

Dr. S. K. Shukla, Director of ICAR-CIRCOT, presided over the valedictory function, accompanied by Dr. N. Shanmugam, Head of the Mechanical Processing Division. During his valedictory address, Dr. Shukla emphasized the current scenario of composite materials and their potential applications. Dr. T. Senthilkumar, Senior Scientist and Training Coordinator, provided a briefing about the training programme, and certificates were distributed to the participants.
