Vigilance Awareness Week is one of the tools of the Central Vigilance Commission in increasing public awareness about the perils of corruption. This year, Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed from 31st October to 6th November 2022 with the theme: “Corruption free India for a developed Nation”. On 31st October 2022, the “Integrity Pledge” was administered to all staff members of the Institute by Dr. Sujata Saxena, Director In-charge.
Since 2014, National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) is celebrated on 31st October every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a visionary freedom fighter-leader who played an important role in national integration after the independence of India. His contribution in convincing many of the princely states to join the Union of India after Independence remains especially notable. This year, the pledge for National Unity Day was administered to all staff members by Dr. Sujata Saxena to mark this day.
