ICAR-CIRCOT Celebrates 150 Glorious Years of the Timeless Patriotic Song Vande Mataram

ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology (CIRCOT) staff participated in the Commemoration of 150 Years of National Song “Vande Mataram” on November 7, 2025 and attended the live telecast of the Inaugural function of marking 150 years of India’s National Song, “Vande Mataram”, following an inspiring address by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, broadcast from the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi.

A total of 101 staff members joined the celebration—81 from the Institute’s headquarters in Mumbai and 20 from its regional units. The programme concluded with a mass singing of “Vande Mataram,” fostering a sense of unity and patriotism among participants.

The video recording of the event has been uploaded to the official website https://vandemataram150.in, and certificate of participation was obtained from this website. To increase public awareness, banners and posters related to the event were prominently displayed across the Institute campus. The photographs, videos and banners/posters are also posted on the Institute’s social media platform for wider publicity. It is also decided that “Vande Mataram” will be included in all official programmes of ICAR-CIRCOT hereafter.
