Description and Salient Features : 

Pink bollworm is a dreaded pest that adversely affects cotton yield, fibre quality and thus income of farmers and ginners. Cotton ginneries are observed as one of the source for reintroduction of pink bollworm (PBW). Hence, a gin trash treatment system was developed to destroy and to break down life cycle and prevent dissemination of pink bollworm (PBW) from ginneries to neighborhood cotton fields and prevent damage to cotton crop in subsequent season.  Gin trash treatment system to destroy pink bollworm comprises of centrifugal trash fan, cyclone and compactor.
