Activated Carbon from Cotton Stalks
The process protocol for production of activated carbon from cotton stalks has been optmised
Colour removal efficiency of cotton stalk based carbon is higher than commercial activated carbon for acid, basic and reactive dyes.
The mesoporosity as measured by Methylene Blue number is 258 mg/g; and microporosity as measured by Iodine Number is 951 mg/g; and yield is 60%.
Can be used as adsorbent in filters, face mask, effluent treatment etc.
