RFID Technology for Cotton Bale Tagging (Application of ICT in Cotton Sector)
- A Bale Manager software was developed to generate bale identification tag and interfaced with a bale database management software.
- The Bale Database Management Software, also called Bale Manager, can generate customized label for each and every individual bale bearing the factory’s name, the press mark number, year of production, bar-coded bale ID and fibre attributes.
- Used for record keeping at ginnery and for efficient marketing of bales in domestic and export markets.
- GINERP, was developed in association with M/s. SSPS, Hyderabad, wherein, bar-coded labels were replaced with on-line RFID system to track the bales.
