ICAR-CIRCOT signed MOU with Cotton Corporation of India Ltd for Evaluation and Analysis of Cotton Fibre Quality

ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology, Mumbai signed a MOU with M/s. The Cotton Corporation of India Limited (CCI), a Government of India Undertaking, engaged in diverse activities related to trade, procurement and export of cotton, equitable distribution of cotton among different constituents of industry and aid cotton imports, for undertaking contract research regarding incubation and technological mentoring for “Evaluation and analysis of fibre quality and trash content of cotton samples of Fully Pressed (FP) Bales” on 01st November 2023.

Dr. S K Shukla, Director ICAR-CIRCOT and Mr. S. K. Panigrahi, Chief General Manager (Marketing) signed the agreement. Dr. A J Shaik, Former Director, Dr. A S M Raja, HOD (Quality Evaluation and Improvement Division), Dr. A K Bharimalla, Principal Scientist and Dr. A Arputharaj, Senior Scientist from ICAR-CIRCOT & Mr. Pranjal P. Joshi, General Manager of The Cotton Corporation of India Limited (CCI) were present during the occasion. Under this MOU, CCI will evaluate and analyse its cotton samples of FP bales at CIRCOTs laboratories located at Mumbai, Nagpur, Sirsa, Coimbatore, Dharwad and Guntur on priority.
