ICAR-CIRCOT celebrated Kisan Bhagidari Prathamikta Hamari campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on 28th April 2022. Live demonstration on Value addition to Agricultural Products, Natural Farming and Waste to Wealth technologies at three different places were arranged to sensitize the farming community and other stakeholders and their benefits on this occassion.

ICAR-CIRCOT RABI incubatee, M/s. Vasundhara Shashwat Shetimaal Utpadak & Prakriya Sanstha from Sangli, Maharasthra organised a programme to showcase their End-to-End Organic Process for making jaggery to farmers and promoted chemical free jaggery and other value-added products at five different villages in Kolhapur and Sangli districts of Maharashtra namely, Talsande, Dewarde, Khochi, Bhuyewadi, Shigaon, Devavadi, Vategaon, Chikurde. Around 150 farmers participated in this programme. Mrs. Shaikh, Agriculture Officer, Islampur, District Sangli was Chief Guest for the event along with the Sarpanch from Dongarwadi, Dewarde villages.

M/s. SR Foods and Breweries, ICAR-CIRCOT-RABI incubatee from Roha, Maharashtra showcased innovative processing technique for extraction of cashew apple juice and endorsed value addition to cashew apple pomace fibres by preparing cookies.

M/s Siddaganga Bio Products, ICAR-CIRCOT incubatee arranged demonstration on Agro Waste Byproduct Utilization for 50 farmers of Tumkur village in Karnataka. Biodegradable and compostable products developed from sheaths of Areca plant were shown to the farmers. These eco-friendly products are alternative to plastic and solve major issues like pollution, disposal problems, saves water, creates employment opportunity and generate additional income for farmers.
