ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology, Mumbai in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Intellectual Property Management, Nagpur (RGNIIPM) organized a online workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights & Patents, Designs filing” on 21.04.2023.
This workshop was arranged by Agribusiness Incubation Centre (ABIC) of the Institute in line with DARE-ICAR Campaign for Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav India@75 and as apart ofNational Intellectual Property Awareness (NIPA) Mission to realize the “Creative India, Innovative India” objective of the National IPR Policy
The program started with ICAR song. At the outset, Dr. S. K. Shukla, Director, CIRCOT, Mumabi welcomed the Guest speaker, Dr. Bharat N Suryawanshi, Asst. Controller of Patents and Design from Rajiv Gandhi National Institute for Intellectual Property Management, Nagpur and all the participants of the workshop. In his welcome address, he praised the initiative taken by Government of India in the form of NIPA mission in growing awareness about Patent and IP system among researchers, scholars and students and hoped that this will further strengthen the Intellectual Property Management System of the country.
The Guest speaker Dr. Bharat N Suryawanshi gave a elaborative presentation on different IP rights and explained different procedures of filing innovation/ IP/ Designs. He answered all the Q & A to the satisfaction of the participants. The workshop was arranged in hybrid mode. Dr. A. K. Bharimalla, Senior Scientist and PI-ABI and PI-CEO, R-ABI moderated the program.
More than 100 participants including scientists, technical officers, students, YP, SRFs, startups and incubates associated with R-ABI and ABIC and other stakeholders of the institute have attended this program through Zoom link.
