Cotton Stalks Supply Chain Model for Preparation of Briquettes and Pellets
- Cotton stalks to be uprooted from field using a tractor operated V type uprooter, sun dried and chipped by a tractor operated chipper. Transportation of the chipped cotton stalks to the briquetting and pelleting plant with the radius of 50 km
- The cost of his entire operation (harvesting, collection, chipping and transportation) worked out to about Rs. 800/- per tonne.
- The chipped cotton stalks are raw material for briquetting and pelleting plant
