Kawadi Cotton Opener

.Description : 

A significant quantity of immature and unopened cotton bolls are obtained in ginneries as waste, known as kawadi cotton. These bolls contain lint, which can be used further after ginning. As such the bolls are closed and needs to be opened thoroughly for effective ginning, for which a machine is very much needed. Conventionally, ginners follow different cumbersome and drudgery practices for kawadi opening, which is time and human power consuming. To address this problem CIRCOT has developed Kawadi Cotton opener. 

Kawadi Cotton Opener – a machine for processing Kawadi Cotton for obtaining lint and seeds from it. The machine consists of paddle type rotating beaters for opening and conveying of fibres, beater assembly mounted centrally on a horizontal cylindrical structure having perforated concave screen underneath for separating dust and seeds from the cleaned and opened kawadi, which is collected at the output end of the machine. Opened and cleaned kawadi cotton can be ginned on a double roller gin to obtain useful cotton lint and seeds. It is developed in public private partnership with M/s. Bajaj Steel Industries Ltd., Nagpur.
