ICAR-CIRCOT Showcases Innovation at the ICAR CSR & Technology Portfolio Roadshow 2026

The ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology (ICAR-CIRCOT), Mumbai, actively participated in the third round of the ICAR-CSR & Technology Portfolio Roadshow 2026. Organized by Agrinnovate India Ltd. (AgIn), New Delhi, and the ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education (ICAR-CIFE), the event took place on July 1, 2026, at the ICAR-CIFE campus in Mumbai.

The event was chaired by Shri Sandeep Sarkar, Additional Secretary (DARE) & Financial Advisor (ICAR), who emphasized the critical role Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding plays in driving growth across agriculture and allied sectors.

Dr. N. P. Sahu, Director of ICAR-CIFE, delivered the welcome address, followed by a strategic presentation on "Capabilities of ICAR and CSR Funding Opportunities" by Dr. Praveen Malik, CEO of AgIn. Regional ICAR Directors delivered lectures on vital agricultural themes, including, Climate Proofing of Indian Agriculture, Soil Health Improvement through Nature-Based Solutions and Crop Diversification, Agriculture for Health, Agricultural Skills and, Women in Agriculture and Extension.

Following the presentations, one-on-one interactive sessions were held among Institute heads, industry leaders, and the Agrinnovate team to explore collaboration opportunities.

A team from ICAR-CIRCOT, comprising Dr. D. M. Kadam, Dr. N. Shanmugam, Dr. A.S.M. Raja, Dr. N. Vigneshwaran, Dr. A.K. Bharimalla, Dr. T. Senthilkumar, Ms. Prachi Mhatre, and Mr. Uday Kore showcased cutting-edge technologies and products developed by the Institute, alongside innovations from their supported startups and incubatees. They engaged extensively with industry stakeholders and corporate representatives to attract and secure CSR partnerships for future research and development.
