As part of the Jan Jatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada celebrations commemorating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Bagwan Birsa Munda, ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai organized an online session on education, skill, and entrepreneurship development for the tribal community on November 02, 2025.
Dr. S. K. Shukla, Director, ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai, addressed the participants and emphasized the importance of education and skill enhancement as key drivers for self-reliance and socio-economic progress. He encouraged the youth to leverage the rich heritage and traditional knowledge of tribal communities to develop innovative and sustainable solutions. He also guided them on strategies for entrepreneurial growth, value addition, and market integration to strengthen their livelihoods.

Dr. A. K. Bharimalla, Principal Scientist and CEO, ICAR-CIRCOT R-ABI and Dr. Sheshrao Kautkar, Scientist guided the tribal youth, highlighting various government schemes, funding programs, and training initiatives that support education, innovation, and entrepreneurship designed to benefit tribal innovators. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, during which participants expressed their commitment to applying the insights gained to strengthen their entrepreneurial journeys and contribute to sustainable rural development.
