ICAR-CIRCOT Promotes Socio-Economic Development and Awareness under Jan Jatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada (November 01, 2025)

As part of the Jan Jatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada celebrations commemorating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai organized an online session on socio-economic development and entrepreneurship awareness for the tribal community on November 1, 2025.

Dr. S. K. Shukla, Director, ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai, addressed the participants and emphasized the inspirational life and contributions of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, drawing lessons on leadership, self-reliance, and community empowerment. He urged the youth to come up with innovative ideas inspired by the richness of tribal culture and traditional knowledge, and to transform these ideas into viable enterprises that contribute to economic growth and sustainability. He also provided valuable guidance on strategies for business development and profitability enhancement.

Further, Dr. A. K. Bharimalla and Dr. Manoj Mahawar interacted with the tribal youth, sensitizing them to various government schemes, funding programs, and entrepreneurship support initiatives designed to benefit tribal innovators. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, during which participants expressed their enthusiasm to apply the insights gained and contribute actively to the socio-economic upliftment and sustainable development of their communities.
