ICAR-CIRCOT Inaugurates First Hands-on Training Programme on Molecular Biology and Genome Editing Techniques

Hands on Training Programme on “Basic Molecular Biology and Genome Editing Techniques” (Sep 16-19, 2025) has been inaugurated by the Director ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai. It is the first batch of training programme by Genome Editing and Biotransformation Centenary Laboratory established at ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai last year. 11 participants (4 male and 7 female) representing various educational and research institutes joined the training programme.

The programme is designed for limited intake of participants for ensuring focused hands-on learning for the students. The training will cover fundamental molecular biology techniques along with practical exposure to genome editing tools such as CRISPR-Cas9, aiming to enhance the participants’ skills and research capabilities.
