Activity : Organization of press conference for highlighting the activities of Swachh Bharat Pakhwada by involving all stake holders | including farmers/ VIPs/ press and electronic media.
Ginning Training Centre, ICAR-CIRCOT, Nagpur organized a Press Conference for highlighting the activities of Swachh Bharat Pakhwada by involving stake holders and famers on Dec 31, 2025. Dr. K.Pandiyan, Sr. Scientist & Officer In-Charge, GTC, Nagpur, welcomed the stake holders and briefed about the programme. He highlighted the activities undertaken by ICAR-CIRCOT during Swachhta Pakhawada. He mentioned that GTC had undertaken  meetings of farmers and stake holders at these villages to campaign about importance of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation. On the occasion of National farmers day on Dec 23, 2025 about 130 farmers and stakeholders were sensitized at GTC, Nagpur. Also, along with farmers and stakeholders cleaning activities were undertaken in villages. Er. D. U. Patil, CTO encouraged about the health and hygiene literacy, environmental and personal hygiene. Other Staff members also shared their views and experience on Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. All the permanent and contractual staff of GTC, Nagpur participated in the program. Swachh Bharat Pakhwada programme created awareness about sanitation practices, and increase the sanitation facilities at office.

Activity : Involvement of VIP/VVIPs (Union Ministers, MPs and other dignitaries) in the Swachhta activities, Involvement of print and electronic media may be ensured so that adequate publicity is given to the Swachhta Pakhwada.
As a part of : Involvement of dignitaries in the Swachhta activities Ginning Training Centre, ICAR-CIRCOT, Nagpur organized a programme on cleanliness and sanitation on Dec 30, 2025 along with farmers and GTC, Staff. Dr. S. V. Ghadge, Pr. Scientist, GTC, Nagpur welcomed the farmers and briefed them about the programme. He spoke about the importance of cleanliness and sanitation. Activity : Swachhata Runs: walkathons, Organizing mega “Plogging” event, Special drive on VIP/VVIPs. Swachhta rallies and Swachhta Raths led by message, with videos from rallies and addresses.
As a part of Swachhata Runs, walkathon/Swachhta Rallie was organized by ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai from ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai to Five Gardens and Back. About 80 participants participated in the swachhata run.

Activity : Stock taking of waste management & other activities including utilization of organic wastes/ generation of wealth from waste, materials. polythene free status, composting of kitchen and home waste farming Promoting clean & green technologies and organic at least practices in kitchen gardens of residential colonies and one nearby village and proving on the spot technology solutions.
As part of the observation of Swachhta Pakhawada during December 16-31, 2025, the ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology (CIRCOT), Mumbai, hosted a practical session titled "Aerobic Composting of Canteen Waste for Garden Manure." This initiative was designed to advance sustainable waste management and foster environmental responsibility.
The demonstration provided participants, comprising staff, students, and local community members, with actionable techniques to transform organic canteen / kitchen waste into nutrient-rich compost for gardening. Dr. N. Vigneshwaran, Principal Scientist & Head, CBPD, noted that aerobic composting is a vital and simple tool for reducing wastes from individual household and societies that can be used to revitalize soil quality in home garden. Supporting this, Director Dr. S.K. Shukla encouraged for the transition from chemical fertilizers to organic alternatives to combat pollution and build agricultural resilience. The programme concluded with a collective pledge to maintain cleanliness and adopt eco-friendly lifestyles.

Activity : Cleaning of public places, community market places and/or nearby tourist/selected riverbanks, spots. Mobilize teams to clean biodegradable ponds and beaches. Stock taking of and non-biodegradable and waste disposal status to providing on the spot solutions. Shraamdaan on roadside clean up surroundings.
As a part of shramdan on road side, Shramdan (cleanliness drive) were undertaken at the Regional Station, Guntur. Cleanliness drive conducted at Dadar beach, Mumbai along with the NSS students from Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Matunga.

Activity : Recycling the waste water: Campaign on cleaning of sewerage & water lines, awareness on recycling of waste water, water harvesting for agriculture/ horticulture application/kitchen gardens in residential colonies/ 1-2 nearby villages.
As a part of recycling the waste water: campaign on cleaning of sewerage & water lines, a Swachhta Awareness Programme was organised at Sirsa, Haryana on 26.12.2025 with special focus on Recycling of waste water.  The campaign was initiated farmer shri Vikramjeet Singh with emphasis on cleaning of sewerage and waterlines, water harvesting, recycling of waste water for agriculture and horticulture uses. Farmers, farm womenand youths were sensitized about various factors responsible for unhygienic conditions in and around their houses with special reference to Sewerage and water lines. They were elaborated upon the need to adopt a system of periodical cleanings of swerage and waterlines, recycling of waste water and water harvesting especially for kitchen gardens/ horticulture. Stress was also given upon positive thinking, good health and personal hygiene for initiation of preventive measures for containing of diseases. A door to door awareness campaingn was also taken in village to explain villagers that how cleanliness contributes to improve their economic condition by reducing expenditure on treatment of diseases at one hand and improvement in human and animal health on the other hand. They were also educated to understand depleting water resources resulting in scarcity of water in future and stressed upon to save and recycling of waste water and how to use it for agricultural production, growing vegetables in the backyard of their houses.

Activity : Signature Campaigns: Swachhta Awareness at local level (organizing Signature Campaigns involving and with the help of the farmers, farm women and village youth in new villages not adopted under any scheme by Institutes/ establishments.
As a part Signature Campaign a door to door signature campaign for maintaining cleanliness was launched District Sirsa, Haryana on 25.12.25 with special emphasis on women as they play the primary role in keeping hygiene in and around houses. Also a door to door signature campaign was conducted at Surat, Gujrat with special focus on Recycling of waste water.

Activity : Kisan Diwas (Farmer's Day)- Celebration of Kisan Diwas by inviting farmers. Conduct interactive workshops focusing on practical solutions and best practices for maintaining cleanliness in agricultural settings. Experience sharing on Swachhata initiatives by farmers and civil society officials. Felicitating farmers/ civil society officials for exemplary initiatives on Swachhata.
All the staff members of ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai, GTC, Nagpur and All regional stations attended the Kisan Samman Diwas oraganised by ICAR through online mode. Hon’ble Shivraj Singh Chauhan Ji, Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India in his address speech highlighted the main objective of the Viksit Bharat – G Ram G Bill 2025. Also respected HAM requested all the ICAR Institute’s, KVK’s,  Agricultural Universities to  create awareness among the farming community  on the Viksit Bharat- G RAM G Bill, 2025.   
At Ginning Training Centre, Nagpur ICAR-CIRCOT, organized Kisan Samman Diwas. About 200 farmers attended the programme. At the outset, Dr. Pandiyan gave the welcome address and briefed about the overview of the programme. He expressed the gratitude to the farming community on this day. Further, he discussed about the importance and creating awareness among the farming community about the Viksit Bharat- G RAM G Bill, 2025.

Activity : Community Involvement: Engagement of local celebrities to endorse and participate in Swachhata activities, encouraging community involvement, Launch a Signature Campaign across the locality to gather pledges from residents for maintaining cleanliness and organize Nukkad Natak performances in public spaces.
As a part of the implementation of Community Involvement, shramdan activity organised by ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai with the help of NGO at Dadar Chowpaty. Nukkad : Street Play was performed by NSS students of Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Mumbai at ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai campus.

Activity : Swachhta Awareness Day: Mass awareness activities on Swachhta Theme, Conducting Swachhta Seminars, Workshops, training, technology demonstrations and exhibitions on “converting waste to wealth” and “safe disposal of all kinds of wastes”.  As a part of the implementation of the mass awareness activities on swachhta theme, ICAR-CIRCOT conducted training program to educate the participants about converting waste cotton rags or waste paper into writing pads or folders. Trainees visited the Dry Waste Management Centre run by NGO name Shtree Mukti Sanghatana in Thane, Maharashtra.
